Courses Prof. Johns teaches
PGE326: Thermodynamics and Phase Behavior
Course covers the basics of the 1st and 2nd law of thermodyanmics for open and closed systems. Applications include geothermal reservoir engineering, phase behavior, equations-of-state, and enhanced oil recovery. The course primarily examines single-component systems, although some brief introduction to multi-component phase behavior is given. The textbook used is "Chemical Engineering Thermodynamics" by Smith, Van Ness, and Abbott (5th edition).
