The Horns took their first 3-game series of the season. Yippee!
Texas jumped ahead early and stayed there...until the 6th when UT-Arlington tied it up. UT went up by a run in the bottom of the inning, though, and never looked back.
Some of the bright spots in today's game:
One last note about the position switching done by UTA in the 6th and 7th. It appeared that Smith hurt his throwing hand or arm slightly during the 6th. The coach and a trainer came out and talked to him for a minute and then had Smith switch positions with Wilson. When Smith was due up to bat in the 7th, a pinch hitter was sent in...causing a couple more position switches in the field. There was no word on the seriousness of Smith's injury.
