Welcome to PGE GSA !!!
We are the Petroleum & Geosystems Engineering (PGE) chapter of Graduate Students Assembly (GSA).
Our goals are:
1. To facilitate interaction among PGE graduate students.
2. To gather and disseminate pertinent information to graduate students.
3. To conduct activities that promote the general welfare of PGE graduate students.
4. To represent the views of PGE graduate students to the university community.
Graduate Social: Spring '2007
PGE GSA would like to thank you all for making the Spring 2007 Graduate Social a great success. You can check Photographs here. They clearly say how much fun it was.We look forward to the next social in fall 2007.

Student Seminar Series
The main idea behind PGE GSA is to increase
interaction among graduate students. As an important step towards it, we have started a seminar series (given by graduate
students from the PGE Department or from any other relevant stream e.g. Geology, Computational & Applied Mathematics (CAM)).
It also gives the students an excellent opportunity to improve their presentation skills. Need some tips on making scientific presentation? CLICK HERE!
Currently, we plan to have a seminar every other Wednesday between 12.00-1.00 PM in Brons Conference Room, CPE Building. Please see map for directions.
The speakers will be presented with a small momento
(funded by UTGSA) and the PGE department has generously granted us funding for refreshments. In case you are interested in giving a talk about your research work, please contact us. All petroleum graduate students are invited for the upcoming sports events !!!!!!! For the graduate students deteriorating health with continuous hours staring at their computers and for socialization which is best achieved in sporting events.
We have decided it would be a good idea to hold a sporting event each week.
Here are the preliminary schedules for the sporting event: January The facility links are the following: Anna Hiss Gym (2nd floor),
